3 Firefighters Treated; 2 Pets Killed in House Fire

GRANGER TWP., Ohio– Three firefighters had to be treated for heat exhaustion after battling a blaze at a home on Huntley Drive in Granger Township on Wednesday afternoon.

Granger Township Fire Chief Jim Paulett said two dogs died and two others were saved when the home caught fire around 3 p.m.

The residents were not at home when the fire started.

Officials said about $500,000 in damage was done.

The cause of the fire is under investigation; no foul play is suspected.
