Not many people give much thought to the gum they chew, but two Cuyahoga Falls firefighters grew tired of the usual mint and cinnamon flavors.

Recognizing an opportunity to fill a need and have some fun on their off days, Keith Saffles and James Horak began experimenting.

They opened a store in Cuyahoga Falls called Yum Yum Gum, where they offer over 100 flavors of gum made from scratch at the location.

Brownie, buttered popcorn, cherry cola, beer, cupcake and peanut butter are just a small handful of the flavors they create. One of their most popular flavors is coconut.

Both were thinking of their children when coming up with their gum recipe. Not only is their gum delicious, but it's sugar-free and is made without aspartame.

They make their gum using sorbitol, sucralose, and xylitol.  Xylitol has been proven to improve teeth health.

At the store, you can sample a flavor, and when finished stick the gum to their ever-popular gum wall.

Fox 8's Kristi Capel is known for loving spicy food. She was pretty excited over the jalapeno gum.
