CLEVELAND -- The 'Senior Games' are in full swing in Northeast Ohio and participants are proving that age is just a number.

John Pugh Jr. is 100-years-old.

This year, he's competing in the horseshoe, shot put and discus competitions.

In years past, Pugh has taken home two gold medals and a silver medal for raquetball. He was 96 when he won his last medal.

Pugh said it feels great to win, but it is an honor just to participate.

"It feels great, but the best thing is to be able to participate," said Pugh. "There are winners and losers, but not really. If you participate, you're a winner. But if you don't participate, you'll never been a winner."

The 'Senior Games' continue through August 1 at various locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
