Another East Cleveland Victim Identified
EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Tuesday the victim found in a grassy field in East Cleveland was identified as Shetisha Sheeley, 28, of Cleveland.
Tips on her name were called in after a description of her tattoos was given. Her identity was confirmed through fingerprints.
Angela Deskins, 38, of Cleveland was the first victim to be identified on Monday.
Sheeley, Deskins and another woman were found near Shaw and Hayden at the end of last week.
“This is the worst news somebody is going to get in their life and we want to be absolutely certain this is the most accurate, scientifically certain statement I can make,” Thomas Gilson, the medical examiner, said as he explained why it will take more time for the third victim to be identified.
It will also take more time to determine the manner of death as the bodies were beginning to decompose.
“We hope and pray that we do not find anything else. But, we are committed to a search that if there is anything to be found, we will do our best to find it,” East Cleveland Mayor Gary Norton said.
He would not answer questions following Tuesday’s news conference in order to avoid jeopardizing the case or the investigation.
Michael Madison, 35, was charged with aggravated murder and kidnapping.
East Cleveland Police Chief Ralph Spotts told Frey no additional searches for other possible victims in the area were planned.
