CANTON, Ohio– An interesting discovery at Water Works Park in Canton on Tuesday.

Someone spotted an alligator just before 3 p.m.

Park rangers were called.

They said the gator, which was about 3′, was tame; so, they think it must have been someone’s pet that got too big.

The rangers were able to get behind the alligator and duct tape its mouth shut.

The animal was taken to the Sanders Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Massillon to get checked out.

The alligator was not tagged.

The owner could face charges, if he or she is found.
