My Town: Akron Racers to Visit Akron Zoo

AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Racers are planning to visit the Akron Zoo to visit both their human and furry fans.

The Akron Racers, the oldest fastpitch softball team in the National Pro Fastpitch League, are visiting the zoo on Wednesday, August 7 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The team will be signing autographs and exploring animal exhibits.

On Sunday, August 11, the Racers will be hosting Zoo Day, Mascot Day and Pepsi Kids Day at Firestone Stadium for their 2:05 p.m. game against the Chicago Bandits. The Akron Zoo’s Howls and Growls Team will also be on hand to interact with fans between innings.
