They say, “It’s not where you go, but who you travel with.”

A Harris Interactive Poll, as reported by The Week, found 53 percent of people said vacations bring their family closer together, and 62 percent of adults said their earliest memories were of family vacations.

But a 2012 U.S. Travel Association survey found there are plenty of benefits for couples if they leave the kids at home.
