Two Dead in Akron Homicide

AKRON, Ohio — The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Akron Police Department launched a homicide investigation after two men were found dead.

Police responded to South Rose Boulevard in Akron around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday.  The men were pronounced dead at the scene about a half hour later.

Details on how they died were not released.  The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office only said they “suffered homicidal injuries.”

One of the victim’s vehicles was missing.  Anyone with information on a 2006 Jeep Liberty with the Ohio license plate FID-1963 should call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at (330) 375-2490.

Their identities were withheld pending family notification.
