Summit County State of Emergency Declared After Storm
SUMMIT COUNTY– Summit County Executive Russ Pry has declared a state of emergency in a number of areas in the county after severe flooding from storms that hit on July 10.
The declaration does not guarantee that any emergency funds will come from the state or federal government, but it’s a first step in the eligibility process.
In a press release, Summit County Emergency Management Agency Administrator Valerie De Rose said, “This declaration allows the EMA to continue to gather information that will be used in the event we are eligible for assistance.”
If you experienced severe storm damage, you’re being asked to provide the information to your local government office.
If you need shelter information, contact the Red Cross at (330) 535-6131.
