CLEVELAND– The trial began Tuesday for the woman accused of poisoning her live-in boyfriend with antifreeze.

Holly McFeeture, 35, is charged with aggravated murder.

She’s accused of spiking Matthew Podolak’s iced tea with small amounts of antifreeze.

He died in 2006, but investigators took another look at the case after getting a tip in 2010.

McFeeture was arrested last summer. She entered a not guilty plea.

Prosecutors think she wanted to kill Podolak because she wanted out of the relationship. Defense attorneys argue there’s no proof that McFeeture killed him and they question the medical examiner.
