Officer Struck by Vehicle Recovering

ORANGE VILLAGE, OH — A police officer injured in an accident on I-271 Thursday afternoon is resting comfortably at home.

Police said Robert Rosic, a 20-year veteran of the Orange Village Police Department, was outside of his car conducting traffic enforcement when he was struck by a car.

He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, Eugene Ottow, 84, remains at Hillcrest Hospital in critical but stable condition.

According to the Orange Village Police Department, the investigation is ongoing and no formal charges have been filed.
