CLEVELAND — An Amber Alert was canceled Monday after an 8-year-old subject was recovered in good health and unharmed.

According to the Cleveland police, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Huron Police found the suspect, Kevin Criss, 36, and his vehicle on Cleveland Road in Huron.

A resident who knew of the Amber Alert recognized the vehicle and alerted authorities who were able to make a traffic stop.

Before the Amber Alert was issued, Kevin Criss, Jr. was last seen on Sunday at 4 p.m. on West Boulevard in Cleveland.

Police said his non-custodial father took the child from a family member and said he was going to a hotel pool.
