CHICAGO — You couldn’t blame the Indians if they were a bit sluggish today.

After all, they swept the White Sox in a Friday doubleheader that didn’t wrap up until the wee hours of the morning.

But, the Tribe kept rolling right along, thanks to their dynamic middle infield duo of Asdrubal Cabrera and Jason Kipnis.

Cabrera swatted his 6th home run of the year to tie the game at 1 in the 4th inning. Then, the red-hot Kipnis belted his 12th round-tripper to knot the game at 3 in the 6th inning.

Last night’s hero, Nick Swisher, singled to center in the 8th to give the Tribe the winning margin.

Joe Martinez, just called up from Columbus before the game, pitched 2 shutout innings for the victory.

Chris Perez earned his first save since coming off the disabled list.

The Indians will go for the sweep tomorrow, when Justin Masterson take the hill looking for his 10th win of the season.
