Geneva Flood Damage

GENEVA — Several families are cleaning up, after flooding ravaged their apartments.

Geneva police and authorities from Ashtabula County alerted the Red Cross this morning of the high water at the Deerfield Apartments on  North Ridge Road.

The flood waters rushed into several of the apartments, soaking and damaging almost everything in its path.

The Red Cross is assisting 4 families with food, clothing & lodging.  All residents of the building have also been given clean-up kits.

Volunteers will remain on scene as the residents continue to pick up the pieces.

The Red Cross will keep in contact with all residents through the weekend, as clean-up efforts continue.
