BALTIMORE — Michael Brantley drove in four runs and the Tribe bullpen backed up starter Ubaldo Jimenez as Cleveland opened its series in Baltimore with a 5-2 victory.

The Orioles took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning on a solo shot by Nick Markakis.

Baltimore added another run to the lead in the fourth when Matt Weiters took Ubaldo Jimenez deep.

The Indians offense finally got back on track against Zach Britton in the 6th inning.

Nick Swisher singled in Jason Kipnis to make it a 2-1 game. Michael Brantley drove in two runs in that 6th inning. His single plated both Swisher and Carlos Santana and gave the Indians a 3-2 lead.

Brantley gave the Indians some insurance when he belted a two-run homer in the top of the 8th inning.

Jimenez went just over 5 innings to notch the victory. He allowed eight hits and two runs and struck out six batters.

With the victory, the Indians have won 9 of their last 12 games.
