COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A 24-year-old was killed in a single motorcycle crash Sunday.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Ronald Rhome, of Massillon, was traveling on I-77 south at the 122 mile post in Coventry Township around 2:05 p.m.

His motorcycle went off the left side of the road and hit a sign post.

The Coventry Fire Department took Rhome to Akron City Hospital where he later died.

Speed appeared to have been a factor in the crash, the sheriff’s office said.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Crash Team continues to investigate.
