CLEVELAND — The Justice Center in downtown Cleveland was evacuated as a precaution on Monday around noon.

During that time, the Cleveland Division of Fire addressed a faulty air conditioning motor in the fifth floor maintenance room.

The problem created a lot of smoke but no fire, affecting the first through fourth floors on the municipal court side.

The issue did not impact the jail.

Firefighters worked to ventilate the area and people began to file back inside.

Another motor is on site to make the repairs.

No one was hurt.
