Y.O.L.O. Salad: Lemon Vinaigrette

Recipe from Scott Ita, Battery Park Wine Bar in Cleveland.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Lemon Juice
  • 1 1/2 cups Olivia Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1/2 or 1 Tbsp. Garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp.Orange Zest

 

Method:

1.  Combine lemon juice, olive oil, parsley, pepper, salt, garlic, and orange zest in small mixing bowl.

2. Whisk the vinaigrette vigorously.

Y.O.L.O. Salad: Candied Pecans/ Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • Pecans/ Walnuts
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Brown Sugar

 

Method:

  1. Heat nuts in a sauce pan, but do not scorch
  2. Add water, enough for a quick boil
  3. Add brown sugar and sugar blend
  4. Coat nuts in the mixture
  5. Separate nuts and let them cool
  6. Remove when cooled
