Charges Revealed in Southington Stabbing Death

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio – A 28-year-old man is now facing several charges including murder, in the stabbing death of a Southington man.

Thomas Starr of West Farmington was indicted today.

He is accused of killing Jeffrey Westfall Saturday evening, at Westfall’s home.

Starr is also facing charges of attempted murder and felonious assault.


Major Tom Stewart, of the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office, said Starr is also alleged to have stabbed his mother Lisa Frye  numerous times. Frye is currently being treated at a Cleveland hospital.

The stabbings happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at a house  in the 5400 block on SR 305.

Starr is being held in the Trumbull County jail and expected in court in the next few days.


The Trumbull County Homicide Unit and sheriff’s office is investigating.
