CLEVELAND — Everyone made it out of the home but one person was taken to the hospital for burns after a house fire Tuesday, the Cleveland Division of Fire told Fox 8 News.

It happened around 5 a.m. in the 7100 block of Brinsmade Avenue on Cleveland’s west side.

“I heard the popping and I saw the bright light and I looked over and the whole door was up in flames,” said neighbor Latherese McKenney.  “It was popping and crackling and the siding was melting, just dropping.  Crazy.”

McKenney also alerted neighbors to the fire in case it spread.

As of 6 a.m., the flames was under control but crews remained at the scene.

It was not immediately known what started the fire or how much damage was done.

The victim’s condition was not available at the time of this report.
