CLEVELAND– The Cleveland Police Department released new surveillance photos on Tuesday of two men and a vehicle that they say are connected to the murder of a teen late last month.

The suspects are believed to have been in the area of Lorain Avenue and West 116th Street on May 27 when 18-year-old Mustafa McWhorter was shot and killed.

In the photos, one suspect is wearing a light blue cloth jacket, tan pants, tan shoes and a light brown knit hat.

The other male is seen wearing a blue jacket, white t-shirt, blue pants and black shoes, with dreads or twists in his hair.  Their vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored, 1990s model of a Buick LaSabre.

Police said McWhorter was walking with another man on Lorain Avenue when they got into a confrontation with someone in a red pick-up truck.

Police said a person in that red truck pulled out a gun and opened fire on McWhorter, hitting him in the chest.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-5464.
