ARDMORE, Pennsylvania — He may not have won the U.S. Open, but Billy Horschel took the number one spot for the most talked about pants.

The American golfer tweeted a picture of himself wearing octopus pants before he arrived at the Merion Golf Club on Sunday.

As soon as TV cameras zoomed in on his unusual fashion choice — “octopus pants” started trending on Twitter.

The pants, which were made by Ralph Lauren, were not available on the company’s website. That could change with the stir they caused on Sunday.
