Stolen Truck Plows Into Store, Suspect Flees

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A truck that had been reported stolen was driven into a Cleveland food mart early Sunday.

According to Cleveland police, a resident heard a loud crash around 4:30 a.m. in the 4800 block of State Road. Police said he then saw a black Chevrolet pick-up truck crashed into the front of the Convenient Food Mart, 4828 State Road.

The resident said he saw a white male exit the truck, and he attempted to stop him. A struggle ensued, and the suspect was able to get back into the truck and flee the scene.

Police said further investigation revealed that the truck was reported stolen and was later recovered in Cuyahoga Heights.
