Officer Shoots Domestic Violence Suspect

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — The search for a domestic violence suspect led to a shooting in South Euclid Sunday morning, according to South Euclid Police.

South Euclid, Lyndhurst and Beachwood police departments were searching for the suspect in an apartment on Richmond Road around 11:00 a.m.

The suspect was wanted in an incident that took place in South Euclid on June 15th.

During the search, the suspect, who had been hiding in a bedroom, confronted a Beachwood officer.

The officer fired his weapon once, hitting the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and transported for treatment.

The suspect’s injuries were not life threatening.
