CLE Police: Man Shot in Chest, Critically Hurt

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police said a man was shot in the chest on the city’s east side Sunday.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at East 157th Street and Holmes Avenue, said police. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The patient was taken to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

Police are still searching for a suspect.

Police said the preliminary investigation reveals the victim was shot by a black male wearing red pants and white shoes. After shooting the victim, said police, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information on the shooting or the suspect is asked to call police.
