CLEVELAND, Ohio — Low ridership reduced it, now a development project has led to restoration of the RTA Waterfront Line’s 7-day-a-week service.

The line was reduced to weekends and special events back in 2010.

RTA said full service resumed Thursday to serve tenants as they begin to move into the Flats East Bank development. The line runs from Tower City to the South Harbor Station in the Municipal Parking Lot.

According to RTA, a major tenant in the Flats East Bank development is Ernst and Young with 2,100 employees right across the street from the Flats East Bank Station. At least seven tenants have committed to bringing restaurants and bars to Phase 1 of the $500 million project.

According to RTA, weekday services will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. with trains every 15 minutes. Weekend and holiday service will operate from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
