2 Shot During Fight Outside Ravenna Bar

RAVENNA, Ohio — Two were shot during an altercation outside a Ravenna bar early Saturday.

According to Ravenna Police Department, the shooting was reported at The Den Lounge just after 12:30 a.m. Two people with gunshot wounds were found and taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital.

One victim was later transferred to Akron City Hospital due to the severity of their injuries. Injuries to both victims were in the lower extremities and were not considered life threatening.

During the course of their investigation, police found that an altercation had taken place in the parking lot. The suspects fled the area but were later found close by.

One of the suspects, Brian L. Weems III, of Cleveland, now faces two counts of felonious assault. He’s currently in the Portgage County Jail.
