Medals for Marathon Finishers

CLEVELAND — Two Kenyans are taking home the top prize at the 36th Annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon.

The male winner of the Cleveland Marathon, 27-year-old Philemon Terer from Kenya, crossed the finish line around 9:20 a.m. with a time of 2:17:36. He will take home $6,000, $3,000 for coming in 1st place and an additional $3,000 for breaking a time of 2:20.

Kenya’s Sarah Kiptoo, 23, crossed the finish line with a time of 2:33:42. She will also take home a $6,000 prize.
