The odds of winning Saturday’s Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175 million, but that’s not stopping people from buying tickets!

The jackpot hit $600 million Friday, but lottery officials say it could be even higher than the $600 million record.

The previous Powerball jackpot record was $550 million in November 2012, but thanks to last-minute sales, the jackpot hit $587.5 million according to Reuters.

If the advertised amount is pushed past $656 million, it will set the record for the largest jackpot in U.S. history, surpassing the Mega Millions jackpot in 2012.

If Saturday’s drawing yields no winner, the jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing will hit a whopping $925 million, shattering all records.
