Gina’s Grandfather: Castro ‘Used to be a Nice Guy’

KISSIMMEE, Florida-- Gina DeJesus' grandfather, Benny Ruiz, can't wait to see his granddaughter again.

He lives in Florida and says he wants to make up for lost time by taking her to Disney World.

Upon learning Ariel Castro is accused of keeping his granddaughter hostage for almost a decade, Ruiz said he, "Couldn't believe it at first, because he used to be a nice guy."

Gina, who was just 14 years old when she was kidnapped, returned to her home yesterday.

Ariel Castro is charged with kidnapping and rape. He's accused of keeping Gina, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight hostage in his Seymour Ave. home for years.
