CLEVELAND — Cleveland Municipal Court officials tell Fox 8 News that kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro is on “suicide precaution” in jail.

The 52-year-old was arraigned Thursday morning on four counts of kidnapping and three counts of rape. He’s accused of holding Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight captive for 10 years.

A judge set a $2 million cash bond for each case.

During the proceeding, Castro kept his head down and partially buried in the collar of his navy blue jail suit. He did not speak.

Castro was previously held in the Cleveland City Jail’s medical unit. He was transferred to the Cuyahoga Jail’s medical unit morning Thursday, officials say.
