OTTAWA, Ohio — The bodies of two of three teenage boys were found Thursday after a statewide Amber Alert was issued for them out of Putnam County.

The alert was canceled Thursday around 3 p.m. after one of the teens was located in a car that had been reported missing. That teen, according to investigators, then directed authorities to the bodies of the other two teens.

Police were initially looking for 14-year-old Blaine Romes; 17-year-old Blake Aaron Romes; and 17-year-old Michael Aaron Fey. They were last seen in the 1500 block of N. Perry Street, in the city of Ottawa, at around 12 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the mother of two of the boys came home Thursday morning to find a “crime scene,” and called police.

There was no immediate word on charges.

Autopsies will be conducted to determine how the boys died.
