Are you one of the many American workers who clocks more than 40 hours at the office each week?

If some GOP lawmakers have their way, you’ll get to choose whether you get overtime pay or paid time off for the extra hours worked.

The choice already exists for federal and state workers.

Republicans in Congress are pushing legislation that would extend the option to the private sector.
