NE Ohio Schools on List of America’s Best

The Daily Beast has released its list of the top 2,000 public high schools in the country; and several Northeast Ohio high schools made the cut.

They said the list was based on: graduation rate, college acceptance rate, AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student, average SAT/ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE scores and percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course.

Here are some of the local schools that made the cut: Solon High School came in at #107 on the list; Beachwood High School is #199; Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools are #216 and Hudson High School is #236.

Orange High School came in at #263; Aurora High School is #482; Kenston High School is #524; Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School is #605; Kirtland High School is #640.

Stow-Munroe Falls High School is #909; Chardon High School is #920; Avon Lake High School is #934; Hoover High School is #959; North Royalton High School is #968; Highland High School is #987; Independence High School is #988; Lake High School in Uniontown is #1021; Bay High School is #1025; Shaker Heights High School is #1050; Jackson High School is #1111.
