KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Indians finished up their road trip in a good way on Monday night with plenty of offense in a 9-0 win in Kansas City.

The offense struck early and kept the pressure on much of the night, which aided starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez.

The veteran righty went 7 innings, scattered 2 hits and blanked the Royals in getting the win.

Jimenez struck out 4 batters and threw 103 pitches.

Jason Kipnis got the party started in the first inning with a solo homer. Asdrubal Cabrera added to the attack with a single to left in the third which plated Michael Brantley with the second run.

Two innings later, Cabrera struck again with a double to deep right field and Brantley scored once again. The fifth inning party was only the beginning. Mark Reynolds singled in Kipnis and Carlos Santana doubled in Cabrera. The 5-0 lead did not stay there for long as Ryan Raburn ripped a three-run homer for an 8-0 lead.  He blasted a second homer to end the night with 2 homers and 4 RBIs.
