NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Eight ducklings trying to follow their mother ended up in a precarious situation Monday morning.

They fell through a sewer grate in the parking lot of Great Northern Mall and landed in the well beneath.

The mother duck was distressed and had six other ducklings in tow.

A North Olmsted city worker came to the rescue, waiting for help to arrive and move the grate so he could fish out the ducklings.

They were eventually pulled out safely and continued on their way with their mother and siblings.
