4 People Shot, Suspect in Custody

OBERLIN, Ohio — The Oberlin Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured four people.

It happened just before midnight at an apartment on West College Street.

One victim suffered a grazing would to the head, two victims were struck in the lower extremities, and one was wounded in the arm. The victims were treated for their injuries and released.

One man is in custody in connection with the shootings. Police recovered a 9mm handgun and 8 spent shell casings from the scene.

Authorities believe the shooting may have been the result of a dispute between the suspect and at least one of the victims.

The suspect has not yet been formally charged, according to Oberlin police.
