CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Metropolitan School District will announce its selection of the District’s Phase I “Investment Schools” Thursday.

Under the Cleveland Plan, CMSD vows to replace schools of the past and operate in a climate where the needs of the students drive the decisions of the school. The
“Investment Schools” program will direct the district’s financial resources toward areas of greatest need.

The schools that are identified as Investment Schools will receive resources to ensure they are safe, disciplined, and engaging schools.

The “Investment Schools” plan extends over the course of four years. After the successful launch of Phase I in 2013-2014, additional schools will be named as Investment Schools for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016.
