THOMPSON TWP., Ohio — A 16-year-old girl was killed Tuesday morning after her car collided with a cement-mixing truck, the Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. at State Route 528 and Moseley Road.

Investigators said the teen, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, didn’t yield at a stop sign and the Mack cement truck struck the car.

Authorities said Amanda L. Kamposek, 16, of Madison, died at the scene.

The driver of the cement truck, 61-year-old Brian Shank, of Painesville, was transported to Madison Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
