102 Bottles of Nail Polish Stolen by Man

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (CTNow) — A 42-year-old man was caught attempting to steal $865 worth of nail polish from a CVS pharmacy in Middletown, Conn., last week, police said.

Marco Gonzalez had stuffed 102 bottles of Essie and Sally Hansen brand nail polishes into his sweatshirt, which he had tucked into his pants.

A loss prevention officer saw him and had a co-worker call police, police said.

Gonzales admitted to police that he was shoplifting and that he did not intend to pay for the bottles of nail polish, police said. Officers emptied Gonzalez sweatshirt and charged him with one count of fifth-degree larceny, police said.

He is scheduled to appear May 1 at Superior Court in Middletown.
