Bystanders Hurt in Gas Station Gunfight

CLEVELAND — A man was shot in the arm and another had glass blown into his eyes when shots were exchanged at a Marathon gas station in Cleveland Saturday morning.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the victims did not know the shooters but saw people in two vehicles firing at each other around 3 a.m.

Blair Cortez, 23, was shot in the right forearm as he entered the store area of the Marathon on East 55th Street and Woodland Avenue.

Eric Flonnoy, 27, was in his vehicle and sprayed with shattered glass when a bullet hit his window.

Both men were treated at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Cleveland police were investigating.
