Teen Could Face Death Penalty in Husband, Wife Murders

NEW FRANKLIN, Ohio– 18-year-old Shawn Ford has been indicted in the murders of Jeffrey and Margaret Schobert.

The New Franklin couple was found dead in their home earlier this month. Ford is accused of using a sledgehammer to kill them.

The indictment includes five counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, grand theft, petty theft and felonious assault.

Prosecutors said if Ford is convicted of aggravated murder, they will seek the death penalty.

Ford pleaded not guilty to the murders.
