$1M Bond for Accused McDonald’s Shooter

AKRON, Ohio — The man arrested in connection with a fatal shooting outside an Akron McDonald’s appeared in court Thursday morning.

An Akron Municipal Judge set bond for Johnnl Lewis, 21, at $1,000,000. Lewis pleaded not guilty on aggravated murder and robbery charges.

John Lehman, 28, was shot while taking out the trash behind a West Market Street McDonald’s on April 6. Investigators on Wednesday said he may have interrupted Lewis during an attempted robbery of the restaurant.

Lewis was arrested late Tuesday night. A police report showed he gave officers a videotaped confession.
