2 Hurt Following Police Pursuit

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio — Two men who allegedly fled from police are now in the hospital, Willoughby Hills police report.

Investigators say just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, an officer saw a Subaru speeding on Bishop Road, near Interstate 90.

The officer tried to pull the car over, but the driver took off eastbound on I-90, then south on Interstate 271.

That’s when, according to police, the driver attempted to exit at Wilson Mills Road in Highland Heights, lost control at the ramp and went off the roadway about 80 feet.

Both occupants of the vehicle are currently receiving treatment at Hillcrest Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

The accident is under investigation by the Cuyahoga County AIU.
