Reward Offered in McDonald’s Murder

AKRON, Ohio — A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification or an arrest of the suspect in the shooting death of a man at an Akron McDonald’s.

John Lehman, 28, of Akron, was shot to death while taking out the trash outside of the McDonald’s Restaurant, 390 W. Market St., on April 6.

The reward is being offered by Summit County Crimestoppers, The U.S. Marshals Office Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and McDonald’s.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium complexion, 22 to 27 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds. He is also described as having a mustache and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect was last seen in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition or a Cadillac Escalade, with tinted windows.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Akron police at 330-375-2490, the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-866-4-WANTED or Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
