CLEVELAND — The National Kidney Foundation is offering free screenings in an effort to boost awareness for kidney health.

The National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) screens those with high risk for kidney disease, including those with existing medical issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of the disease.

The screenings include a kidney disease risk appraisal, blood pressure reading, urine and blood testing and an opportunity to discuss result with health professionals on site.

The event will be held Thursday, April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Lee Road Baptist Church located at 3970 Lee Road.

Walk-ins are welcome to attend if space is available, however those who would like to take part in the screenings can also call 1-(800)-242-2133 ext. 224 to schedule an appointment.
