Second Arrest Made in New Franklin Murder Case

AKRON, Ohio – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the killings of a New Franklin couple.

The New Franklin Police Department with the assistance of the Akron Police Department arrested a 14-year old juvenile that was involved in the killings of Jeffrey Schobert and Margaret Schobert.

The suspect has been transported to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center, and has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary.

Friday, a judge set a $2 million cash bond for Shawn Ford, 18, on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and grand theft for the same case.
