(CNN) — As camera phones and digital cameras thrive, another industry may be falling to the changing times.

Portrait studios inside Sears have closed unexpectedly.

The operator, CPI Corp., has gone out of business after more than 60 years.

The closures mean families can’t go to Sears for family pictures anymore.

Portrait studios inside some Walmart stores have closed, as well.

CPI had warned that it wasn’t able to pay its creditors and that bankruptcy liquidation might be possible.
