CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland police say they are “questioning a person of interest” in connection with the recent murder of Jazmine Trotter.

Police would release no further details Tuesday night.

Trotter, 20, was found last week at an abandoned home on East 93rd Street. She had been reported missing a few days earlier by her family.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office Tuesday said she died from blunt head trauma and strangulation.

Police are also investigating the death of Christine Malone, 45, found dead in a field nearby a few days later of the same cause.

Police are also investigating the assault of a 20-year-old woman over the weekend, also on the city’s East Side. She was able to escape and survived.

An FBI spokesperson Tuesday told Fox 8 it’s not clear if the three cases are related.
