CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police confirmed homicide was suspected after a 45-year-old woman was found with head trauma on Thursday.

A juvenile noticed the body lying in a field in the 9300 block of Bessemer Avenue on Cleveland’s east side around 4:30 p.m.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thursday’s discovery was made about a mile away from another homicide investigation.

The body of Jazmine Trotter, who was reported missing days earlier, was found in the 3900 block of E. 93rd Street Sunday.

Investigators have not said if the two incidents are connected.

Neighbors told a Fox 8 News crew they are frustrated with the crime in the area.

The Cleveland Division of Police asked that anyone with information contact the Homicide Unit at (216) 623-5464.
